In the year 2070, David Hume (played by Michael Easton) is a futuristic law enforcement officer who discovers that the death of his partner was not accident — that it was the work of powerful men with a hidden agenda.

Season Two of House begins as the gloriously obnoxious and abrasive Dr. Gregory House, head nephrologist at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, stubbornly (and somewhat perversely) trying to save the life of a seriously ill death-row inmate over the objections of his colleagues. Perhaps House is being more contrary than usual because he doesn’t like being forced to work in close quarters with his ex-girlfriend Stacy (Sela Ward). Elsewhere, House’s colleague Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) is herself faced with a life-or-death crisis when evidence indicates that she is HIV-positive; House’s superior-in-name-only Dr. Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) clashes with him over the treatment of a man who suffered an injury while working on Cuddy’s roof; neurologist Eric Foreman (Omar Epps) briefly becomes House’s boss, with both men pushing the envelope to see which one will go ballistic first; and after separating from his wife, oncologist James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) moves in with House–who despite his anger over having to share his space with anyone is reluctant to let Wilson leave because the guy is such a great cook! And in the two-part episode “”Euphoria”", House races against time to determine the malady that is causing a wounded policeman to literally laugh himself to death–things getting uncomfortably personal when Foreman begins showing the same symptions! The second ends when House is shot and wounded by the husband of a former patient–and those fans aware of the series’ many references to Sherlock Holmes will get a kick out of the name of the assailant. Among the honors bestowed upon House during its second season on the air was the prestigious Peabody Award for “”Best of Electronic Media.

A dying man entrusts a straight-shooting police detective with the key to a timeless mystery, thrusting the unsuspecting lawman into a deadly world where everyday objects have an unusual influence over reality as the result of an inexplicable rift in time and space. By all accounts the Sunshine Motel was one indistinguishable from any one of the countless other roadside lodges which dot Route 66. On the typical morning of an otherwise ordinary day, however, the contents in room ten of the Sunshine Motel are suddenly transformed into indestructible objects of immeasurable value. There’s a comb with the power to stop time when the user runs it through their hair, and a pair of glasses that can inhibit combustion anywhere in a twenty-yard radius. When Police Detective Joe Miller (Peter Krause) is given the most powerful of all the objects – the key to room ten – he is quickly targeted for death by the various cabals that seek to collect the objects; some of the cabals want to collect to objects to achieve their own nefarious means, others simply to prevent them from falling into the wring hands. Things go from bad to worse for Detective Miller when his young daughter disappears in the room and he must race to solve the mystery of this strange phenomenon before he is caught in the crosshairs and his little girl disappears forever.

Tom Selleck returns to the role of small-town police chief Jesse Stone in this prequel to the CBS TV movie Stone Cold. Having been booted from the LAPD for drunkenness (brought on by his grief over his wife’s death), Stone heads to tiny Paradise, Massachussetts, where through the auspices of local banker Hastings Hathaway (Saul Rubinek) he is appointed chief of police. His first assignment is to investigate the murder of his predecessor Lou Carson (Mike Starr), whose death may or may not be tied in with a local domestic-abuse case involving minor mob functionary Jo Jo Genest (Stephen Baldwin). Although his new staff has a lot of trouble dealing with Stone’s eccentricities–not least of which is insisting upon taking his pet dog Boomer wherever he goes–Jesse gradually wins them over. Along the way, he also tries to melt the heart of his staunchest adversary, attractive attorney Abby Taylor (Polly Shannon–all the while fending off the advances of banker Hathaway’s libidinous wife Cissy (Stephanie March).

Chris O’Donnell, Michael Keaton, and Alfred Molina star in this television mini-series event adapted from the book by Robert Littell and brought to the screen by cinematographer-turned-director Mikael Salomon (Salem’s Lot and Benedict Arnold: A Question of Honor). An epic thriller that traces the timeline of the CIA from the Berlin Base of the 1950s through to the Gorbachev putsch, The Company details the struggles of agents caught between double lives, that war waged against an enemy as immoral as it is elusive, and the internal battles that threatened to destroy “”The Company”" from the inside out.

Nearly a decade after the heyday of the daily cartoon series Alvin & the Chipmunks came this Halloween-themed cable TV special. Anxious to join the Monster Club, precocious singing chipmunk Alvin undergoes a grueling trick-or-treat initiation. Naturally, things go awry, spelling trouble not only for Alvin but for his chipmunk siblings Simon and Theodore–not to mention long-suffering David Seville. In keeping with the Chipmunks’ tradition of “”covering”" popular songs, this special includes a spirited rendition of the 1961 novelty hit “”The Monster Mash”". Trick or Treason debuted October 28, 1994, over the USA network, which was then showing reruns of the original Alvin & the Chipmunks.

Launched as a mid-season replacement on ABC in spring 2005, this sex-soaked medical soap opera quickly became a hit during its nine-episode inaugural run. Creator/executive producer Shonda Rhimes, who wrote the first three episodes herself, wasted no time in setting up the central conflicts at Seattle Grace. In taking an internship at the hospital where her mother once enjoyed great renown as a surgeon, beautiful Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) must suffer through not only heightened expectations, but also the terrible secret that her mother now suffers from Alzheimer’s. As if that’s not enough, Meredith also enters into an unlikely romance with her boss, Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), aka “”Dr. McDreamy.”" Once word gets out, the affair irks most of Meredith’s co-workers: no-nonsense senior resident Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), who toes the party line regarding resident/intern romance; nice-guy intern George O’Malley (T.R. Knight), who harbors a not-so-secret crush on Meredith; and ultra-competitive intern Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh), who believes Shepherd is playing favorites with Meredith. Much to her own surprise, however, Cristina soon finds herself hooking up with Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington), who’s not only her supervisor but also Shepherd’s rival for chief resident. As for surgeons-in-training Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers), they’re too busy loathing each other to get caught up in any inter-office romance. Chief of Surgery Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.), too, remains above the fray — until, during the cliffhanger season finale, he inadvertently affects the course of Meredith and McDreamy’s relationship by hiring a new pediatric surgeon (guest star Kate Walsh) with a surprising link to Derek’s past.

A luxury liner has capsized in the middle of the ocean, and it’s up to the few remaining survivors to navigate through the treacherous, upside-down maze of terror and make their way to safety in the made-for-television remake of the 1972 disaster film. A terrorist has boarded the luxury liner Poseidon during a lavish New Year’s Eve celebration, and when the blast of his bomb causes the immense ship to capsize, the struggle to make it out alive turns into a waterlogged nightmare as the ship slowly continues to take in water. But sinking isn’t the only thing the survivors have to worry about, because within their midst the diabolical terrorist is waiting for just the right moment to finish the job he started when he planted the bomb.

This 50-minute video tells all about the life and enduring faith of Abraham. Learn why Christians, Jews and others revere the purity of Abraham’s belief that God is always loving and would always stand by him. Scholars are interviewed who have spent their professional lives searching for proof that Abraham truly existed. They discuss what they have learned from the 1,500 cuneiform tablets discovered at the ancient city of Ebla. The narrator repeats the basic Old Testament story in which Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son. Viewers will hear many things that can help them decide whether they fully believe that it was Abraham’s covenant with God that led to the birth of Israel. Also includes an informative visit to a number of historic and beautiful areas of Israel.
